According to Allure magazine’s July spread, 45% of women don’t clean their makeup brushes regularly. Know what that means? Acne, acne, acne. That’s right, a dirty makeup brush means more pimples because every time you apply your makeup, the bristles pick up bacteria, oils, dead skin cells, and toxins.
So, how often should we be cleaning our brushes? To combat this dermal disaster, experts agree brushes should be cleaned once or twice a month.
