Everything in Moderation, Including Moderation

If dieting is hard, you're doing it wrong. Yes, I said it! Say bye-bye to too-restrictive diets that result in grumbling stomachs and the inevitable, unforgiving binge.

The key is finding out what works for YOU. After all, everyone is different: metabolic rates range from person to person and our bodies react differently to every food. However, there is still one staple to every diet: moderation. Without it, we shun our ultimate cravings, often leading to diet cheating and self-hatred.

Miranda Kerr, Victoria's Secret model and author of Treasure Yourself: Power Thoughts for My Generation, swears by the 80/20 rule. According to Women's Fitness, she eats 80% healthy and organic while saving 20% of her daily intake for indulgences. Some of her favorite treats include "fatty french fries" and "rich dark chocolate." The biggest shocker of all: she avoids counting calories. Instead, she focuses on eating wholesome, balanced mini-meals.

Kerr's workout of choice? Yoga!
Sometimes accompanied by meditation.

What works for supermodels like Kerr might not work for you. Whether it's the infamous "Paleo Diet" or even the Raw Food Diet, your choice should be tailored to your body and lifestyle.
