My Fabulous Day Trip

            Today, I went on what my mom's fiance Doug calls a "fabulous day trip." And no, he isn't gay. The cute expression originated from his mother, who would take Doug and his siblings on little day trips, i.e., Newport Beach and Coronado Island (also, some of my favorites!). So, this morning, he decided to bring back the tradition, this time with my mom and me. Today, we went to Lake Arrowhead - a private, breathtaking lake in Southern California. While there, we went to his vacation home and went boating with some friends.

Here are every girl's summer necessities I packed for the trip:

A medium sized straw bag: perfect to hold all the essentials; Nordstrom

The bare minimum: a bikini; O'Neill 

A towel, of course! 

I wrapped mine tightly, to be space efficient.

Sunglasses, to protect my eyes; Burberry

A coin purse instead of wallet, to save space; Louis Vuitton

Sperry topsiders; Nordstrom

Almonds, the perfect snack: high in protein, fiber, and doesn't cause excessive bloating. 

Perfect for a day in your bikini.

Last, but certainly not least: UV protection for the face and body.
