A DROP IN THE BUCKET

This summer, I want to tackle my very own bucket list. I'm a huge advocate of concreting plans by putting them in writing: by jotting ideas down, it acts as a constant reminder of how to spend the wee summer months without getting bored - or, even worse - falling into a rut. With a bit more spare time and plentiful sunshine, there are a number of ways to spend the summer days. While writing down your plans often springs them into action, it isn't always easy to brainstorm once you've fallen prey to the everyday mundane. So, to get started, I've comprised a short list of no-fail summer plans:

1. Get lost in a novel... or two!
2. Go to an outdoor music festival. {think Outside Lands in San Francisco or Bonnaroo in Tennessee}
3. Start that project you've been wanting to do but haven't had the time.
4. Host a summer barbecue.
5. Take a midnight swim!
6. Plan a Sunday brunch {champagne - girls only!}
7. Go bike riding along a boardwalk.
8. Challenge yourself to cook a new meal you've never attempted.
9. Go for a boat ride.
10. Treat yourself to a mani-pedi.
11. Take an unplanned adventure.
12. Travel somewhere new, even within your hometown.
13. Go for a hike at a serene location.

What are your summer plans?
